About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our Platform product development initiatives for next-generation Semiconductor Testers. As a key member of our Platform Engineering Group, you will be responsible for developing state-of-the-art industry-leading Semiconductor Equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and collaborate with development teams to provide technical knowledge and guidance, communication clarity, trade-off analysis, project scheduling, and change management.
  • Produce concepts from high-level requirements or problem statements, develop those concepts with various types of analyses, verify design through functional testing of prototypes, summarize results, and defend design in design reviews to peers and management.
  • Perform and explain structural analysis to support design using a mixture of hand calculations and FEA.
  • Effectively collaborate with global supply base to arrive at economically viable solutions for high-volume manufacturing.
  • Create assembly and detailed part drawings using GD&T.
  • Develop industry-leading Platform products based on sound engineering principles that support electronics packaging solutions for complex air and liquid cooled designs, consider design reliability in various thermal operating environments, and consider end-user constraints, cost, and time to market.
Long-term Expectations
  • Influence and participate in the development of long-term technical capability roadmaps to support market change over time.
  • Contribute to initiatives throughout the company as a subject matter expert.
  • Routinely create innovative ideas and generate presentations.
  • Mentor Jr. Engineers and help create a high-performance engineering team.
Requirements
  • BS, Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of experience.
  • Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, Solidworks FEA experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of GD&T standards and applied experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentations, customer, internal, and management.
  • A driven and autonomous personality.
  • Experience writing and communicating critical reports. Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience leading design reviews, internally and customer.
  • Complex problem-solving/troubleshooting skills for both components and subsystems.
