Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Professional to join our team at Freeman Webb Company. As a Leasing Professional, you will be responsible for showing and leasing apartments to prospective residents, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all parties involved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with prospective residents and current residents to address their needs and concerns.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents through excellent customer service and prompt maintenance response.
  • Learn and apply professional sales techniques to effectively showcase our properties.
  • Accompany prospects to model apartments and provide detailed information about the property, including amenities and services.
  • Follow up with prospective residents who did not complete an application to ensure a smooth leasing process.
  • Process lease agreements and collect rental deposits in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inspect model apartments daily and coordinate necessary maintenance to ensure a high level of presentation.
  • Compile and update listings of available rental units to ensure accurate information for prospective residents.
  • Assist with the creation of newspaper advertisements to promote our properties.
  • Verify the credit history, previous landlord, and employment history of prospective residents.
  • Substitute for the Assistant Manager as needed.
  • Comply with all fair housing laws and regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

Education and/or Experience

An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

You must be able to generate reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Mathematical Skills

You must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

You must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works indoors but occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical office equipment parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
