Whitecap Search is currently seeking a skilled and bilingual Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at a prestigious outpatient facility in Brooklyn.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform blood draws from veins using various techniques as needed, enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into a computer, explain procedures to patients, dispose of contaminated needles or other biohazard fluids or tissue in accordance with policy and procedure, organize and clean blood-drawing trays to ensure all instruments are sterile, and process blood or other samples for further analysis as requested.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws from veins using various techniques as needed
  • Enter patient, specimen, insurance, or billing information into a computer
  • Explain procedures to patients
  • Dispose of contaminated needles or other biohazard fluids or tissue in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Organize and clean blood-drawing trays to ensure all instruments are sterile
  • Process blood or other samples for further analysis as requested

Requirements:

  • Bilingual Spanish (must be able to speak Spanish)
  • Completion of Phlebotomy program
  • Phlebotomy Certification
  • 6 months of Phlebotomy experience required
  • BLS preferred (American Heart Association)
