Job Summary

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ambulatory Medicine Department. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, medication administration, and phlebotomy
  • Room and prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Assist with treatments, dressing changes, and other procedures
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently in our electronic medical record system
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • NYS LPN licensure (grad of accredited LPN nursing program)
  • Minimum 2 years of ambulatory experience (acute care and nursing home experience a plus)
  • BLS certification
  • Medication and vaccine administration
  • Phlebotomy skills
  • Ability to perform POCT
  • Excellent interpersonal and English communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, colleagues, and physicians effectively
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
