Respiratory Therapist RRT Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for evaluating the respiratory needs of patients and developing and implementing individualized Respiratory Care Plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patient respiratory needs and develop individualized Respiratory Care Plans
  • Apply and operate acute care ventilators for continuous short and long-term mechanical ventilation
  • Maintain accurate department and hospital records, including therapy information
  • Perform procedures with care and empathy for patients
Requirements:
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire
  • Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
  • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills
