Respiratory Therapist RRT Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, including the application and operation of acute care ventilators.
  • Monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, and provide critical care services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and enter information into the hospital computer system.
Requirements:
  • Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
  • American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider certification.
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and to think critically and make decisive judgments in high-pressure situations.
