Job Summary

Excela Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Diagnostic Radiology department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our radiology services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the activities of radiologic technologists and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement new forms, procedures, and protocols to improve department efficiency and patient care
  • Collaborate with radiologists to determine proper imaging protocols and ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Confer with department managers to determine proper procedures and guidelines
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and better patient care initiatives
  • Oversee training, hiring, and education of radiologic technologists
  • Maintain department statistics and records required by federal, state, and local agencies
  • Assist in accreditations and inspections
  • Oversee the activities of the PACS system and related functions
Requirements
  • Completion of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology Program recognized by ARRT
  • Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, and sound judgment
  • Strong ability to communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
  • Three years' experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist with credentials with ARRT
  • Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved curriculum of the American Heart Association (CPR and AED) program
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance
Working Conditions

This position requires regular, consistent, on-site, and timely attendance. The incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need and may be required to rotate shifts, work standby, or be on-call. Travel may be expected locally between Excela Health locations.
