Role Overview:
We are seeking a customer service professional to excel as a Front Desk Agent. In this role, you will facilitate guest arrivals and departures while ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, utilizing clear communication to understand and respond to their requests.
  • Manage the registration process, inputting and retrieving information accurately, and confirming details such as guest count and room rates.
  • Handle financial transactions, including credit card authorizations and cash management, while ensuring accuracy in posting charges.
  • Answer phone calls promptly, taking messages and relaying information to guests as needed.
  • Close guest accounts at checkout, addressing any concerns and negotiating solutions when necessary.
  • Resolve guest complaints through thorough investigation and effective communication.
  • Maintain composure during busy periods and emergency situations, using sound judgment and discretion.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular shifts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous hotel experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with guests and resolve conflicts.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to navigate a front office environment and perform essential job functions.
  • Proficient in using a computer system for information input and retrieval.
  • Adept at recognizing and responding to emergency situations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
