Job Title: Data & Integration Developer

Smith College is seeking a highly skilled Data & Integration Developer to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integration-centric solutions that support campus leaders in making timely business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integration architectures, roadmaps, and system transition plans.
  • Document architecture decisions and provide input into the development of the integration strategy and technology direction.
  • Educate others on integration methodologies, governance, and standards.
  • Design and implement integration solutions linking cloud and custom on-premises applications.
  • Identify and implement internal controls and technological improvements to data and information processing systems.
  • Assist with the design of data models that support modern data analytics business requirements.
  • Assess impacts of changes to develop optimal solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience architecting and developing large-scale and complex data systems.
  • Significant study in information technology, computer science, data science, or related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with information security, code management, and data management best practices.
  • Experience working in a higher education, academic environment.
