Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at eTeam. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control: Perform laboratory tests to determine that raw materials, packaging, and manufactured products meet our quality standards and specifications.
  • Sample Preparation: Prepare samples and sampling plans for ingredients, intermediate or finished products, or other materials to perform analyses.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Process incoming or outgoing equipment, verify external calibration paperwork, and ship instruments for external calibrations.
  • Chemical Analysis: Perform chemical analyses using instrumental methods to determine the composition of samples.
  • Physical Property Evaluation: Evaluate ingredients, products, or packaging materials via visual inspection or by measuring weight, density, stress, dimensions, torque, strength, etc. to determine physical properties of samples and compliance with standards.
  • Standard Preparation: Prepare standards or standard curves to perform quantitative analyses.
  • Data Interpretation: Interpret data from routine and non-routine analyses to validate that laboratory equipment meets specifications.
  • Quality Framework: Provide the framework and tools for ensuring the quality and integrity of products.
  • Statistical Process Control: Perform statistical process control on required plant equipment and processes to monitor the quality of finished products, packages, and ingredients.
  • Equipment Calibration: Prepare and maintain all equipment used in the Quality process prior to use to ensure correct performance. Audit equipment records to ensure external and internal verification and calibrations are properly maintained.
  • Process Data Reporting: Report process data to supervisors to assure the quality of material released for distribution.
  • Data Transactions: Perform data transactions for instrumentation using facility information systems to ensure traceability.
  • Product Support: Support new products and/or business innovations by performing product trial runs and protocol studies as needed.
  • Line Checks: Perform line checks to ensure product and packaging meet specifications.
  • Instrument Operation: Operate all lab testing instruments and create, maintain, and refine related documentation.
  • Operational Parameters: Document all operational parameters.
  • Compliance: Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Policies, and Procedures.
  • Training: Train new associates.
  • Cross-Training: Ability to cross-train in different responsibilities of the QA department.
  • Inventory Control: Control chemical inventory through FIFO.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize equipment, or any other areas as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree related to the science fields preferred.
  • Work Experience: At least 3 years related experience, preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand, record, and communicate system problems and solutions.
  • Attendance: Demonstrate good attendance.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Move and lift material weighing 50 pounds to distances of 10 feet or more, floor to waist. Ability to push and pull force of 80lbs. Ability to squat and bend over at the waist. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time in temperature extremes on a daily basis up to 12 hours.
