About the RoleThis is a full-time position at Western Park Apartments, a 183-unit affordable senior housing community in San Francisco, CA. As a Resident Services Coordinator, you'll work closely with residents, service providers, and community groups to deliver high-quality services and programs. Your goal will be to empower residents to achieve self-sufficiency and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of services and program activities to residents, both on and off-site.
- Provide information, assistance, and resident services referrals, and engage in follow-up to ensure residents receive the support they need.
- Perform needs assessments to determine what types of programs and services would benefit residents.
- Develop supportive relationships with residents and conduct regular outreach to encourage participation in resident programs.
- Connect residents to food resources in their community and facilitate distributions as needed.
- Establish connections with service providers and maintain a community resource directory in an online database.
- Accurately prepare and maintain monthly budgets, program files, and other documents in the online database and as required by regulatory requirements.
- Create monthly newsletters and calendars of events and activities.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with property managers and REM staff, participating in biweekly meetings with the site team.
- Actively participate in company-wide special initiatives, such as scholarships and digital learning, as applicable.
- Assist with recruiting and coordinating volunteers and vendors as needed.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and mutually respectful relationships.
- Attend all Resident Council meetings and work with the Council and residents to encourage higher levels of participation and access to program activities.
- Interface regularly with provider agencies, public agencies, and community volunteer groups to maximize the effectiveness of program activities.
- Monitor participating agency involvement for quality and compliance with memorandums of understanding or other service agreements.
- Attend department and company meetings, trainings.
- Actively participate in EAH's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- BA Degree in Social Services, Healthcare, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 1-2 years of social service experience working with elderly, families.
