Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively tackle challenges, implement changes, and excel in a results-oriented environment. You will be continuously evaluating the systems in place to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Comfort in managing a team and performing analyses to identify areas for enhancement is essential. Additionally, you should ensure that all necessary utilities function correctly and demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This role supports all departments by ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and that Company facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure the following tasks are performed safely:
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in line with Company policies.
  • Engage professionally with colleagues and clients.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Provide direction and communication to the Maintenance Staff.
  • Lead efforts to guarantee proper supervision and maintenance of equipment on a daily basis.
  • Conduct safety compliance inspections and maintain records for production equipment.
  • Instruct personnel on equipment start-up procedures and machine operation.
  • Procure service components necessary for the repair or preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure competent contractors are utilized for external work.
  • Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement necessary repairs.
  • Explore new technologies and automation opportunities to reduce overall manufacturing costs.
  • Plan and estimate for capital projects, including writing ARFs.
  • Manage and monitor project progress.
  • Ensure Company facilities, including buildings and grounds, meet established standards.
  • Responsible for overall facilities maintenance.
  • Ensure mechanical and electrical maintenance of the facility is performed as required.
  • Ensure scheduled Preventative Maintenance is conducted and documented according to Company Policy.

Your Educational and Training Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred: 4-year degree and/or completion of Trade School.
  • Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • At least three years of experience in a supervisory or management role.

Your Experience Requirements:

  • This position necessitates knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, electronics (PLC), carpentry, welding, machining, and fabrication. Certifications in these areas are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting the aforementioned categories. Experience with stamping equipment maintenance is preferred.
  • The candidate should be capable of training personnel in areas requiring improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

Supervision and Interaction:

  • This position involves direct, daily supervision of Maintenance personnel.
  • Frequent interaction with the Operations Manager, Production Supervisors, Leads, and other staff is expected.
