Job Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Medical Care Coordinator Specialist. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate all clinical support activities in our physician office, providing professional clinical assistance to patients and acting as a liaison between patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all clinical support activities in the physician office, ensuring seamless communication and efficient care delivery.
  • Patient Support: Provide professional clinical assistance to patients within the clinic, supporting physicians in delivering high-quality care.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between patients and physicians, establishing and maintaining quality patient care.
  • Continuing Education: Maintain professional licensure through practice-based continuing education programs, ensuring expertise in clinical best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the clinic meets all relevant codes and accreditation standards (OSHA, DPH, JCAHO, CLIA, HIPAA).
  • Clinical Teamwork: Utilize clinical teamwork to oversee the interdisciplinary plan of care, assessing patients and families as needed, planning and implementing clinical care, and evaluating service delivery for continuous improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A nursing degree and active licensure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in clinical coordination and patient care, preferably in a physician office setting.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and accreditation standards.
