Medical Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
">We are seeking a skilled Medical Nurse Specialist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:

- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel.">
- Document initial and ongoing patient assessments in a complete, concise, and timely manner according to policy and procedure.">
- Develop and modify effective, comprehensive, and individualized plans of care, including discharge planning, for assigned patients, utilizing standards of care developed by MHMC.">
- Apply knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served.">
- Initiate and coordinate patient teaching according to identified needs.">
- Integrate, delegate, and coordinate patient care using an interdisciplinary approach.">
- Evaluate patient responses to interventions according to established policy and procedure.">
- Demonstrate an ability to plan and supervise other patient caregivers in providing patient care on unit while functioning as a professional role model.">
Requirements:
">- ">
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN preferred.">
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.">
- MA RN License, BLS and/or ACLS required.">
- Addtional certification required where applicable, such as ICU-ACLS, Emergency Department-PALS and ACLS, Operating Room - ACLS, PACU-ACLS, PALS, Interventional-PALS and ACLS, MORCAP- Certification for Addiction Nursing preferred.">
- Meditech experience preferred.">
Salary Information:
">The estimated salary for this position is $60-$80 per hour, depending on experience.
