Job Overview

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is seeking a highly motivated Youth Development Specialist to support our mission of providing a safe, positive environment for youth to grow and thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and be responsible for branch programming, youth program quality, and branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Youth Development Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing engaging youth programs that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character.
  • Providing guidance and support to youth in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with youth.
  • Ability to work a part-time schedule, Monday - Friday, with varying hours depending on the season.
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships with youth and staff.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to pass all required background screens and drug screens.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred:

  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of various program areas, such as healthy lifestyles, culture and arts, academics, social development, and teen interests.
  • Work experience or program knowledge of the Boys & Girls Club Movement.

Compensation and Benefits

The Youth Development Specialist will be compensated at $14.00 per hour and will be eligible for paid time off and holiday pay.
