We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Production Shift Supervisor to join our team at Sun Recycling. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our manufacturing department, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage Production Floor Operations: Oversee the activities of the production floor, under the direction of the business unit manager, and follow established procedures and approved processes.
- Supervise Departmental Production: Supervise departmental production operations, ensuring that products meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Implement Process Improvements: Implement policies and procedures, and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
- Lead and Develop Team Members: Cooperate with HR and the production manager to train, monitor, develop, and discipline team members.
- Maintain a Safe and Efficient Work Environment: Ensure that the production floor is clean and organized, and that all equipment is properly maintained.
- Education: Associates Degree required, Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience within a manufacturing environment required, 3-5 years of previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Skills: Leadership, strong ethics, safety conscience, organizational skills, project management.
- Ability to Stand or Sit for Extended Periods: The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Lifting and Moving: The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Temperature Extremes: The job is performed under some temperature extremes.
- Hazardous Conditions: The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration.
