Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lean Champion to join our team at Re:Build Manufacturing. As a key member of our process innovation team, you will play a critical role in driving sustainable change and delivering business transformation through the creation and embedding of lean methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities for and facilitate continuous improvement activity across the business by employing lean methodology, including 5S, Visual Management, A3 thinking, standard work, waste identification, and Kanban.
  • Work with key stakeholders to build a continuous improvement environment that supports site goals and strategy.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and improvement-based events focused on improving safety, eliminating waste, stabilizing processes, and improving quality, delivery, and productivity.
  • Promote and facilitate a culture of high engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in verbal, written, and visual methods.
  • Facilitate training and coach lean processes/methodologies to support the company's Lean Journey.
  • Manage projects and initiatives to critical timeline and cost to meet customer objectives.
  • Member of the Safety committee, coaching safety improvements.
  • Maintain and monitor improvement results, initiating countermeasures as needed.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and benchmarking.
  • Guide change management, training, and communication as improvements are rolled out.
  • Facilitate the preparation, data collection, and prework for Kaizen events.
  • Perform audits to ensure sustainment of improvements over time.
  • Assist in Value Stream mapping and Value Stream transformation.
  • Perform and guide basic data analysis, such as Pareto and process capability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five+ years of experience in manufacturing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of lean implementation experience required.
  • Lean six sigma green belt preferred.
