Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic I - AH-64 Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces, and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces, and controls.
  • Read and interpret technical data to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspections to ensure aircraft are in safe operating condition.
  • Repair and replace worn or damaged components such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine-mounted gearboxes.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
  • Supervise the jacking and towing of aircraft and enter maintenance records.
Requirements
  • Three years of aviation maintenance experience with two years of rotary wing aircraft experience.
  • Two years of experience on the assigned Mission Design Series (MDS).
  • A valid up-to-date A&P license is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI(T1) Public Trust Security Clearance and facility credentials/authorization.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work is performed in a shop environment that is moderately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
