Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Mechanic I (Flight Engineer) to join our team at VetJobs. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions on aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering data to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components, including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment, such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 250 flight hours required.
  • CH/MH-47 or civilian experience preferred.
  • Documented Military/DOD Service School or Civilian/FAA equivalent training desired.
  • Current and Active Secret Level Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
