Job Overview

R.W. Mercer Co. is seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to ensure the security, integrity, and performance of our SQL databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases to meet business requirements.

  • Develop and implement backup and recovery plans to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Collaborate with software developers to optimize database queries and improve overall system performance.
  • Implement security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access and ensure data integrity.
  • Participate in capacity planning and scalability decisions to ensure the database can support growing business needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL database management systems and database design principles.
  • Experience with database security best practices and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
