Job Summary

Spartan Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading Material Handling Equipment rental and sales company to find a skilled Field Service Technician for their team in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex equipment systems, including liquid propane, gas, and diesel engines, electric motors, transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems, electrical systems, lifting systems, and more.
  • Rebuild and/or repair all components and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Properly block, chock, and chain equipment, and disassemble it as needed to facilitate major component removal and repair.
  • Perform routine and operational maintenance to all equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform equipment inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Perform basic welding as necessary to repair or maintain equipment.
  • Record maintenance and repair work, completing necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Complete basic and advanced technical training as assigned to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain parts and supplies needed for job completion, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Maintain a culture of safety and participate in all safety meetings to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the team and company goals.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills to provide top-notch support to clients and colleagues.
  • Thorough knowledge of all equipment and operations that apply to the branch, ensuring expertise and confidence.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Own tools to ensure efficient and effective work.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required, with a mechanical or trade school certificate preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in repair or a related industry, with a strong background in equipment maintenance and repair.
