Our Clients

We currently support a mix of Federal, State, and Local government agencies, including the Federal Transit Administration, Federal Railroad Administration, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, State Departments of Transportation, and the nation's largest transit agencies.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have 7 or more years of relevant experience in federal, state, or local government contracts management and must be able to work as part of a diverse multi-disciplined project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Research and Analysis
    • Research the terms of an agreement, including applicability of certain provisions.
  • Contract Drafting and Review
    • Draft, review, and edit prime and sub-contractor agreements, including NDAs, consulting agreements, professional services agreements, master service agreements, etc.
  • Negotiation and Mediation
    • Negotiate terms, act as a mediator, and facilitate discussions to reach agreements.
  • Contract Compliance
    • Develop templates and establish contract compliance framework consistent with the risk profile of the company.
    • Monitor compliance with various contractual provisions in accordance with the contract compliance framework and company standards.
  • Contract Management
    • Manage requests from internal departments to ensure contracts are drafted and executed properly.
    • Ensure firm adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Coordinate and collaborate with key functions including legal, finance, HR, and the business.
  • Contract Risk Management
    • Mitigate contract risks.
  • Contract Administration
    • Record and track business contracts.
    • Execute renewals or extensions on tasks and contracts and alert project managers.
    • Track all communications between the firm and its various accounts.
  • Proposal Support
    • Provide proposal support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, pre-law, business administration, or a similar discipline required.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiations, including understanding of key contracting principles and drafting strategies.
  • Good interpersonal skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Unanet GovCon ERP desired, but not required.
  • Relevant experience in U.S. federal, state, or local government contract management and administration and/or related areas; experience in international contracting, including with public procurement and commercial contracting a plus.
  • Desire to learn, be curious, and ask questions.
  • Proactive risk management and clear communication.
  • Detailed-oriented with a focus on transactional excellence.
  • Ability to independently prioritize competing deadlines.
