Position Overview: Selby Jennings is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Real Estate Acquisitions Analyst to play a crucial role in the identification, analysis, and acquisition of real estate assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, market research skills, and a passion for real estate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential acquisition opportunities in targeted regions, analyzing financial statements, property performance data, and market trends to assess the viability of prospective investments.
  • Develop financial models, including discounted cash flow analysis and internal rate of return calculations, to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal stakeholders and investment committees, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the acquisitions team to negotiate purchase agreements and coordinate due diligence processes, ensuring a smooth transaction.
  • Monitor and report on market conditions, emerging trends, and competitive landscape to inform acquisition strategies and optimize investment decisions.
  • Assist in the management of relationships with brokers, property owners, and other industry professionals, fostering strong partnerships and negotiations.
  • Support post-acquisition integration and performance tracking of acquired properties, ensuring optimal asset performance and value creation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate finance, acquisitions, or investment analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with a strong analytical and quantitative skillset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and real estate analysis software (e.g., Argus, CoStar).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
