Position Overview:
A dedicated Research Fellow is sought for the laboratory of Dr. Jia-Ray Yu at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, situated at the Children's National Research & Innovation Campus in Washington, DC. The Yu laboratory focuses on the intricate mechanisms of epigenetic regulation in human malignancies.

Research Focus:
Our team employs a diverse array of methodologies, including advanced molecular biology, biochemistry, reconstituted systems, stem cell cultures, and genomic sequencing. In addition to our scientific endeavors, we actively participate in community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on multiple projects within the lab to standardize cell culture protocols and methodologies aimed at exploring chromatin mechanisms in stem cells and cancers.
- Train new laboratory personnel in essential techniques and methodologies.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all laboratory equipment and resources.
- Work collaboratively within the lab and with external partners.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Biology or Biochemistry or a related discipline, with relevant laboratory experience.
- PhD must have been awarded no more than four years prior to the appointment date, with at least one year of eligibility remaining.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to document protocols and maintain accurate inventories.
- Extensive expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry.
- Commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the research environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in collaborative research settings.

Salary Information:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
