About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Fellow at The Hamilton Project in Economic Studies. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and policy development in the field of economics.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in economics and a proven track record of producing high-quality research. They will be responsible for undertaking independent and joint research assignments, publishing research through The Hamilton Project, and engaging in public and private events, policy dialogue with policymakers, the public, and the media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in advanced study and research in areas related to fiscal policy and macroeconomic analyses.
  • Disseminate research findings through publications, presentations, and other research products.
  • Participate in general Brookings events, particularly those related to the Economics Studies program.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Ph.D. in Economics or a related social science field, with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. You will also need to have a strong record of productivity, a proven ability to undertake research assignments with little or no supervision, and a commitment to contributing to a supportive and productive workplace.

You will be expected to have strong written, research, and oral communications skills, as well as knowledge of STATA, R, or other widely used computer software programs. Initiative, discretion, and mature judgment are also essential for this role.
