About the Job:
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at the University of South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing solid oxide electrolysis cells for hydrogen production. This is a grant-based research position, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and related disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Synthesize and characterize materials for solid oxide electrolysis cell components development
* Evaluate cell performance using electrochemical methods
* Perform computational modeling of the electrochemical performance obtained from experiments
* Supervise graduate and undergraduate students for their thesis and university funded projects
* Write quarterly progress reports for DOE
* Write scientific papers for publications in peer reviewed scientific journals
Requirements:
* PhD in materials science and related disciplines with solid oxide fuel cell knowledge
