Job Title: Health Information Management Support

At Vergence, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Health Information Management Support specialist.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled professional to provide support for our vaccine programs, including data management, record-keeping, and communication with healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and triage calls from immunization providers, providing basic problem-solving services and escalating complex issues to other staff members as needed.
  • Monitor and manage shared email inboxes, ensuring timely responses to routine inquiries and facilitating consumer access to MyVaxIndiana.
  • Organize and maintain document libraries on our server, ensuring that documents are current and accessible to all staff.
  • Coordinate content updates based on our master calendar and as updates become available, including annual policy updates and VIS Sheets.
  • Collect, organize, and distribute faxed/emailed VFC provider accountability report documents to Regional Vaccine Ordering and Accountability Specialists.
  • Receive, process, and enter all vaccine returns into VTrckS, the CDC Vaccine Tracking System.
  • Perform routine information updates within CDC databases, such as the Provider Education and Reporting System.
  • Prepare and/or transport refrigerated and/or frozen vaccine supplies as needed.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities related to policy, VFC policy and procedure, customer service, and administrative/operation support best practices.
  • Support vaccine-preventable disease outbreak response efforts as requested.
