Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Disability Case Manager Specialist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our benefits administration team, you will play a critical role in coordinating the administration of Short-term Disability and FMLA plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and thorough reviews of Short-term Disability, FMLA, and ADA claims, making professional determinations.
  • Manage the workflow for a large number of claims, ensuring equitable workload distribution and administering claims within department standards.
  • Provide advocacy case management to all appropriate LOA claims.
  • Manage high-impact LOA claims to identify obstacles and opportunities for returning associates to work.
  • Work with medical providers, LOA clinic resources, managers, and Local HR to determine return-to-work expectations and facilitate the return-to-work process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years' experience in health and welfare benefits, disability management, HR operations, and/or benefits administration.
  • Experience working through the ADA process end-to-end is preferred.
  • Workday and ServiceNow experience are also preferred.
