Position Overview:
The Event Catering Sales Executive is primarily tasked with driving sales and securing contracts for our venue.

This role encompasses the generation, management, and coordination of external catering sales, alongside the initiation, direction, and execution of marketing strategies within the Catering Department.

The Executive will autonomously oversee all facets of group operations, from initial reservations and contract negotiations to final event execution and catering services.

This position necessitates maintaining a consistently positive and professional rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Executive will address sales and customer service challenges, ensuring outstanding service; investigating, resolving, and clarifying any invoice inquiries; and offering informed and suitable recommendations regarding menu options.

The Executive will facilitate effective communication internally and engage with all guests and vendors. Availability to assist with general catering operations as required is essential.

This role offers a competitive annual salary range of $45,000 to $55,000.

Key Responsibilities:


Establish and nurture relationships through networking and outreach to key decision-makers, developing strong and effective connections with influencers through professional, courteous, and ethical interactions.

Deliver impactful sales presentations.


Independently identify and pursue external networking opportunities via industry resources, community events, or special occasions attended by potential clients.

Responsible for negotiating, drafting, and submitting finalized contracts and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to clients and internal teams.

Address all catering requirements and requests promptly and effectively.

Maintain precise records of all catering sales activities.


Engage daily with the Food & Beverage Manager, culinary team, catering staff, and Operations personnel regarding guest needs and expectations.

Maintain a comprehensive client database for follow-up communications (in-person, phone, email, mail, etc.)

Assist in evaluating guests' experiences at the venue, ensuring all concerns are addressed.

Support the planning and coordination of catered events as directed.


Act as the primary contact for groups and conventions post-contract signing; approve any inventory or other modifications, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Assist with oversight of accounts receivable related to assigned events.

Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required, along with a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in the hospitality industry.

3-5 years of experience in a sales capacity, demonstrating verifiable success in sales.


Proven expertise in catering sales generation, contract negotiation, pricing strategies, event scheduling, training, catering, banquets, and menu design.

Ability to work independently both on-site and off-site with minimal supervision.


Proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office, particularly in creating documents and spreadsheets); familiarity with POS systems is advantageous.

Ability to maintain high standards of business etiquette and demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.

Consistent representation of the Company in a professional, positive, and knowledgeable manner is essential.

Commitment to confidentiality and discretion is required.

Detail-oriented with a track record of producing accurate work.

Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and evenings, as necessary.

Willingness to travel for outside sales calls and events.

Demonstrated ability to make sound, independent decisions.
