Job Title: Nuclear Engineer and PhysicistJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Engineer and Physicist to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing technical support and oversight of nuclear reactor plant systems, components, and safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support and independent oversight of work associated with installation, reactor servicing, testing, and modification of reactor plant systems, components, and safety systems.
  • Apply sound engineering principles and judgment to influence and provide feedback to on-site management and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the safe and reliable operation of nuclear reactors.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex engineering problems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Master's degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting team goals.
  • Ability to work in an industrial environment.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
