Job Title: Senior Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Chemist to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a Senior Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.

Job Summary:

The Senior Chemist will be responsible for solving problems associated with cleanliness control in Naval nuclear steam plants. This will involve performing trials, tests, and/or experiments to support engineering, production, and/or R&D activities. You will also collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, and develop technically and economically sound recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified; or EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only); or SRE qualified and 6 years of experience.

Preferred Skills:

Proficiency at reading fluid system drawings, ability to work in a cross-functional and cross-site team, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong performance record of leading complex work efforts to a successful and timely conclusion.

Pay Range:

$92,900.00 - $145,200.00 annually. Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
