As a key member of the LH Global Consulting team, we are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Insurance Specialist to support our financial reporting and accounting functions.
This role is responsible for providing accounting and financial reporting support, including company insurance product portfolio and reinsurance accounting support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP standards and be able to ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support assigned month-end close tasks, including monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis and quarter-end reporting support
- Prepare assigned monthly general ledger account reconciliations and conduct preliminary investigations regarding variances as needed
- Assist with reinsurance accounting programs, including data validation and submitting payment requests to dealers
- Process daily cash and intercompany wire transfers, prepare journal entries, and post in Oracle
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- General accounting background with an understanding of U.S. GAAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and be detail-oriented
- High level of integrity, work ethic, and a team player
- High energy and ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
- Highly self-motivated
