Civil Construction Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Construction Inspector to join our team at CTL Engineering. As a key member of our construction services group, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on various aspects of construction projects, including earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction. With a focus on quality and safety, you will work closely with our engineers and project managers to deliver exceptional results to our clients.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform construction engineering services related to earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction. This includes inspecting and reporting on specific aspects of construction works in progress, such as concrete pours, rebar placement, pipe replacements, and ensuring that job site tests/observations are performed in accordance with standard test/observation methods, project specifications, and other contract documents. Additionally, the candidate may be responsible for inspection and sampling of construction materials, performing computations with formulas, plotting data, and drawing simple curves and graphs. They will also assist engineers in the field during soil and materials investigations and ensure that contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals for roadway work, roadway, or pavement is maintained.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a technical school or community college graduate degree preferred or an associate degree in a related field with at least 2 years' experience, or a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. A minimum of 2-3 years of construction inspection and testing experience is required, with a strong understanding of highway construction specifications and previous field experience. ACI Grade I, DOT Asphalt Tech, NICET Level II Soils, ICC Special inspections, and/or CWI/NDT inspectors are preferred. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are also required.
Estimated Salary Range
$55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
