Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Highway Construction Project Manager to lead our team in delivering complex highway projects. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities and issues related to completing a construction project. This includes overall project planning, scheduling, project cost accounting, quality control, contract administration, safety management, labor and equipment resources, and owner relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a master project schedule to ensure timely project completion.
  • Establish project subcontract requirements and review them with divisional management.
  • Control costs and maintain profitability for the project, utilizing extensive heavy construction experience.
  • Monitor projects to ensure adherence to company and regulatory procedures.
  • Oversee change order justifications and inspector performance.
  • Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and clients/owner representatives to isolate project issues and develop solutions.
Requirements:
  • S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working for a Highway Contractor as a Project Manager on DOT or heavy highway projects required.
  • Previous experience working as a Foreman or Superintendent on heavy highway projects.
  • Estimating experience, a strong plus.
  • Proficient in using Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • Proven ability to create and manage budget.
