Restorative Justice Coordinator

King Elementary is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Justice Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our school community, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive school culture and climate by integrating restorative practices into our daily life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate restorative circles between teachers, students, and staff in the Wellness Center
  • Implement restorative practices during lunch and recess
  • Conduct one-on-one check-ins with students in need
  • Support SSTs and parent meetings to provide interventions as needed
  • Collect and analyze office disciplinary referrals and suspension data
  • Co-plan and co-facilitate monthly Restorative Practices Working Group meetings
  • Attend and participate in weekly CARE and Systems Team meetings
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal at the school doors
  • Advocate for restorative justice within the community and raise awareness of its benefits
  • Collect data and report on the outcomes of restorative justice programs
Requirements:
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, or counseling
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations with empathy and professionalism
Benefits:
  • Hourly rate: $ depending on experience
  • Work hours: M-F, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
