This position is year-round and part-time, offering between 10-25 hours per week.Compensation ranges from $14.42 to $14.65 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English).
Responsibilities:
Key Duties:
Ensure the safety of all children in the Child Watch program through close supervision.
Maintain an accurate count of children present and uphold the required staff-to-child ratio.
Perform cleaning and safety tasks as outlined in the Child Watch Expectations.
Facilitate engaging activities tailored for children.
Communicate effectively and regularly with parents, colleagues, and supervisors.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
Must be dependable, self-motivated, and committed to serving as a positive role model for youth.
Prior experience working with children and knowledge of childhood development is preferred.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
Willingness to occasionally serve as a substitute if necessary.
Must obtain current ARC/YMCA First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens certification within 30 days of hire; training can be provided.

Part-time employees are also entitled to paid sick leave at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
