Reports to: Tutt Branch Director | Weekly Hours: 40 Department: Operations | Position Type: Full-Time (Non Exempt)

Position Overview:The Youth Program Supervisor is tasked with the comprehensive execution of the Teen program. This role encompasses the oversight of staff and participants, ensuring a 1:20 adult to teen ratio, along with administrative responsibilities and the upkeep of the program's facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture relationships with local schools, ensuring effective communication regarding recruitment, events, transportation, and closures. The recruitment of new teens and the expansion of the program are critical components of this role.
- Oversee staff and/or volunteers (when applicable) to guarantee that interactions with participants adhere to Boys & Girls Club standards of active supervision. Exercise authority in resolving issues related to participants and staff; implement guidance and discipline plans as necessary.
- Engage in Club meetings to relay organizational updates, changes, and gather staff feedback. Conduct staff evaluations as directed by the Vice President of Operations.
- When applicable, collect, review, and approve staff timesheets and absence reports, submitting these to the Branch Director by the assigned deadlines.
- Document and report average daily attendance (ADA) to the Area Director.
- Collect registration fees from parents, maintain records of payments received using receipt books, Vision data, and payment trackers. Input registration charges and payments into Vision, and communicate with both parents and the Finance Department regarding outstanding balances.
- Submit all Military Youth Outreach Forms to the Finance Department as necessary.
- Facilitate assigned teen programs/activities, document weekly, and submit a monthly site report to the Area Director after reviewing it with the Branch Director. Submit supply requests for program functionality and activities as needed.
- Implement and report requested grant-related data to the Development Department according to supplied program curriculum, activities, forms, and reports.
- Assist the Branch Director in maintaining the cleanliness of the club by adhering to daily cleaning checklists. Maintain the Van Operational Checklist and submit weekly to the Branch Director.
- Support the Development Department with scheduled club tours by external groups such as donors, partners, or volunteers.
- Assign social media responsibilities to staff, including capturing photos of daily activities and posting them on approved Boys & Girls Club social media platforms. Maintain a current list of photo-approved participants.
- Provide transportation as needed on a daily basis or during special events using a fifteen-passenger van or similar vehicle.
- Assist in organizing grant-related special events, which may occur outside of normal business hours and on weekends. The Youth Program Supervisor will be notified by the Area Director, Branch Director, or Vice President of Operations regarding required attendance at special events.
- Complete training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid (FA), Universal Precautions (UP), and Medication Administration (MA).
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
- Summer Program duties will be assigned and may vary.
Supervision Received:
The Youth Program Supervisor reports directly to the Club Branch Director and receives regular supervision from the Club Branch Director.
Supervision Exercised:
The Youth Program Supervisor shares supervision with Program Leads (when applicable) concerning the participants to maintain a 1:20 ratio. However, the Youth Program Supervisor may lead activities as the sole supervisory adult in accordance with state regulations. All employees are expected to exercise sound judgment and discretion at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be 25 years or older with a clean driving record and possess a valid driver's license.
- At least 460 verifiable experience hours with adolescents, preferably teens, or a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A passion for working with young people, parents, schools, and community leaders.
- Ability to effectively manage Teen staff, oversee a Teen program, and recruit and retain members.
- Ability to effectively address behavioral issues among participants.
- Availability during business hours, Monday through Friday.
Skills:
- Energetic, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience in mentoring and redirecting youth.
- Ability to adapt to change and thrive in fast-paced environments.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Standing and walking for extended periods, engaging in physical activities such as daily cleaning, leading sports activities, and light to moderate lifting.
- Child care environment with moderate to loud noise levels, both indoors and outdoors.
