Job Summary:

As a key member of our engineering team, this position will be responsible for the electrical engineering design of products used in military and defense applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in circuit design, both hardware and firmware, and experience with test plans for products that adhere to Military Standards 461 and 810.


Responsibilities:
  1. Lead projects from concept to design, prototype, validation, testing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
  2. Design and generate circuit designs using Altium or equivalent software and create drawing packages for distribution.
  3. Work with manufacturing partners to manage the overall electronic design and manufacture of products.
  4. Manage the complete product development cycle, including customer inquiries and statements of work.
  5. Provide technical expertise and support for products developed, including production and quality assurance.
  6. Track and report progress of design activity, process of manufacturing, and procedure of quality assurance with partners.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development from design to manufacturing phase.
  • PCB design, firmware development (C/C++, Python preferred), and layout experience (Altium is preferred) is a must.
  • Experience with necessary test equipment and standards to meet military standards 461 and 810.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with various departments and personnel.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Technical proficiency in Military Standards 22885, 461, 704, or 810 is a plus.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and set priorities based on technical and business trade-offs.
  • Self-motivated, project and schedule driven, and able to perform tasks with minimum supervision.

Physical Demands:
This position requires frequently sitting, standing, reaching, walking, and handling/grasping of materials in manufacturing. This position may rarely require kneeling, bending, squatting. Must have finger dexterity, ability to use keyboard/ten key. Reach, stoop, and lift office files, records, or reports, typically weighing 20 pounds or less. Reasonable accommodations will be considered which would allow the employee to perform the essential functions of this job.
