Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Court Security Officer to join our team. As a Court Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing armed security services to courthouses under the USMS contract. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform entrance control, including operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
  • Perform roving patrol and stationary post assignments, including monitoring closed-circuit television and duress alarm systems.
  • Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.
  • Enforce federal law and maintain order in the courtroom and surrounding areas.
  • Prepare reports and records regarding contract performance issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years.
  • Clearance from the Department of Justice.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
