Job Summary:

The State of South Dakota, Unified Judicial System is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Courtroom Officer. This is a temporary non-benefited on-call position that requires the ability to maintain order and ensure the smooth operation of the courtroom during jury trials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Arrange the courtroom for jury trials and ensure the security of the area.
  • Attend to the needs of the jury and ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Carry out directives issued by the Judge during court proceedings.
  • Perform other work as assigned.

Requirements:

  • No formal education or experience is required.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background investigation is required for employment.
