Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors at the county jail. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order, supervising inmates, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain security and order within the jail facility
  • Supervise inmates and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Perform administrative tasks, including record-keeping and reporting
  • Assist with inmate transportation and court appearances
  • Monitor security cameras and respond to emergencies
  • Prepare and serve inmate meals
  • Administer medications and provide medical care as needed
  • Search inmates and their property for contraband
  • Process inmate mail and packages
  • Assist with inmate release and transfer procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as law enforcement or corrections
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations
  • Valid driver's license required
