- Proactively seek and secure catering opportunities across various sectors, including social events, cultural gatherings, and corporate functions.
- Engage with clients to finalize event details, including banquet event orders, menu selections, and event timelines.
- Assist in the preparation of essential documentation, forecasts, and reports to monitor departmental performance.
- Allocate appropriate venues for diverse functions, ensuring optimal use of space for meetings and dining.
- Develop and maintain a targeted list of potential clients to drive new business initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve financial objectives and enhance service delivery.
- Adhere to established guidelines within the Event Services Department.
- Schedule and conduct personal sales visits to key contacts within the local catering market.
- Participate in weekly sales meetings to discuss previous activities and outline future strategies.
- Track and report on leads converted into bookings, providing monthly summaries of performance metrics.
- Manage assigned bookings with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Compensation range: $85,000-$114,000 USD annually.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a similar capacity is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Dependable and responsible with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including dietary considerations.
- Understanding of cost control measures related to food and labor.
- Adept at engaging with a diverse clientele and understanding their unique needs.
