University of Kentucky is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in Lexington, KY.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing radiation treatment delivery, observing patients for unusual reactions and events, and maintaining radiation safety measures for patient and personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver radiation treatment to patients according to doctor's radiation prescription
- Observe patients for unusual reactions and events
- Maintain radiation safety measures for patient and personnel
- Assist in tumor localization procedures
- Provide general patient care
- Perform CT-based simulations in accordance with the Oncologist's cure plan
- Accurately perform daily QA on the treatment machines
- Associate's Degree
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Valid Kentucky State License Registration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- KY State License
- AART or ARDMS certification
