Digital Marketing Operations Director

The Digital Marketing Operations Director is a senior leadership position responsible for driving best-in-class marketing execution. This role oversees the development of processes and procedures for marketing automation, communication capabilities, program execution, data management, and customer lifecycle management solutions.
This individual will lead a team of marketing operations specialists, train and onboard new team members, motivate and inspire the team towards business goals, and facilitate ongoing discussions around team improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop Strategic Roadmaps: Create strategic and tactical roadmaps for digital marketing operations in alignment with short-term and long-term marketing goals, tying goals to business strategy.
- Operational Excellence: Establish a foundation of operational excellence, including team design, clear roles/responsibilities, and fit-for-purpose processes.
- Marketing Technology Ownership: Own marketing technologies, including onboarding and integration of new technologies and yearly review of the marketing tech stack.
- Data Practices: Develop modern data practices, ensuring high-quality data capture for operations and analytics, familiarity with marketing data aggregation, normalization, and enrichment tools.
- Customer Lifecycle Management: Build and evolve customer lifecycle management solutions and processes, documenting standard operating procedures.
- Demand Generation Best Practices: Strong familiarity with Marketo, lead nurturing, and overall demand generation best practices.
- Process Design: Design processes and solutions with a balance of standardization vs. customization to enable scalable support for stakeholder teams.
- Audience Identification: Facilitate marketing efforts to identify and segment key audiences, tailoring approach, content, and duration to fit audience needs.
- Talent Development: Hire and develop digital marketing operations talent.
- Marketing Operations Advocacy: Evangelize and advocate for marketing operations best practices across global and regional marketing.
- 6+ years of marketing or other operations experience; 3+ years in growth-stage B2B.
- Deep hands-on expertise with marketing tools such as Marketo and Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of the B2B customer lifecycle process.
- Start-up mindset of extreme ownership and speed.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills adaptable to various audiences and seniority levels.
- A strong leader with vision and ambition.

Estimated Salary Range$160,000 - $216,000 USD per year, based on location and qualifications.
