About the Role

This position involves providing direct care to adolescents and adult patients with psychiatric disorders. As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with psychiatric disorders
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being at all times
  • Understand and use least restrictive interventions per facility policy
  • Avoid seclusion and restraint whenever possible
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred
  • Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting as a Mental Health Aide working with children, adolescents, geriatric and/or adults
  • Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
  • CPR Certification required
  • Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation certification
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
