We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Specialist/Medical Support Professional/Nursing Support Associate to join our team on the Night Shift in our Hannibal, Missouri location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confidentiality and Intake Procedures
    • Maintain confidentiality of consumer information
    • Conduct intakes for individuals entering our Detoxification Program or Residential Treatment Programs
  • Referrals and Orientations
    • Make referrals to other agencies in accordance with our policies and procedures
    • Orient consumers to the program they are entering
  • Assessment and Monitoring
    • Conduct assessments for consumers admitted to the Detoxification Program
    • Monitor and document consumer behavior while on our property or engaged in an agency activity
  • Transportation and Reporting
    • Transport consumers as scheduled and assigned by the clinical team
    • Report to the Detox Director or Technician Coordinator when rules are broken
  • Medical Support and Documentation
    • Monitor vital signs of consumers receiving services
    • Monitor consumer self-administration of medications
    • Collect and monitor the collection of consumer samples for UA testing
    • Document in consumer records in accordance with tasks performed or observed
  • Environmental and Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the agency
    • Maintain adherence to the documented schedule
    • Ensure all documentation and paperwork are legible and accurate
  • Team Collaboration and Professional Development
    • Assist nursing and clinical staff in the performance of their duties
    • Attend in-service and staff meetings
    • Display appropriate ethical boundaries with consumers at all times
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Experience in the human services field preferred but not required
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Certification as Medical or Nursing Assistant preferred
    • Valid Class E Chauffeur's driver's license (may attain within 30 days of hire)
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Knowledge of the recovery process
    • Willingness to work flexible hours during the week, weekends, and holidays
    • Ability to pass a Comprehensive State of Missouri Background Check
    • Ability to pass initial and random drug screenings
