About the Role:

CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-7+ years of experience in MEP Consulting Engineering. This position will work with a team of engineers to design the mechanical aspects of energy efficient buildings for various clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects and be involved in the design of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and plumbing systems of buildings for bidding and construction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated responses.
  • Attend meetings with owners, clients, or architects as needed.
  • Provide guidance to staff engineers on energy efficient designs.
  • Review contractor submittals and evaluate conformance with contract documents.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to perform assigned tasks.
  • Confer with other engineers and personnel to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Research, design, and evaluate mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements and apply knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 3-7+ years of experience in MEP Consulting Engineering.
  • EIT or PE Certificate.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Healthcare and Higher Education project experience.
  • Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
  • Experience in MEP Design.
