Mechanical Engineering Faculty Position

Job Opportunity in Mechanical Engineering
The Commonwealth of Virginia invites applications for a faculty position in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the assistant or associate professor level commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate mechanical engineering courses, mechanical design courses, advise/supervise student projects and research, and enhance current departmental research areas.
Requirements
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, and must have excellent teaching and communication skills. Industry experience, in the area of machine design, and professional registration is preferred.
