As a Technical Support Engineer for Automation, you will be instrumental in bolstering our sales initiatives aimed at enhancing Automation and Control solutions. This role is designed for motivated individuals who are keen to expand their knowledge and engage with advanced technological offerings. You will benefit from direct mentorship from seasoned engineers, acquiring essential skills in automation technologies, energy assessments, assembly processes, on-site engineering support, and more. Your key responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting industrial end-user accounts, systems integrators, panel builders, and OEM clients
  • Staying informed about new product innovations and communicating updates to clients
  • Collaborating with the Account Manager to foster new client relationships
  • Promoting growth in Automation and Control, including PLCs, drives, sensors, HMIs, etc.
  • Engaging in necessary vendor training and achieving certification levels
  • Providing customer training on automation and control technologies
  • Participating in training sessions as required by Sonepar
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, drives, and sensor configurations is advantageous.
  • A background in customer service is beneficial.
