Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Gather and assess data on patients to develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement nursing care interventions based on patient needs and situational complexities, and evaluate patient responses to care.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Serve as a resource for nursing staff, instructors, and students in planning care assignments and educational experiences, and guide and supervise other nursing personnel in implementing care.
  • Process and Performance Improvement: Participate in unit performance improvement monitoring and contribute to making revisions to policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Meetings and Committees: Attend and participate in unit staff meetings and nursing department committees.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • License: Current North Carolina license as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Experience: 1 year of nursing experience required.
  • Skills: Ability to lift 40 pounds, rotation in standing, visual acuity for reading and documenting patient charts, ability to speak and hear for effective communication, manual finger dexterity for writing and equipment operation.
